Steve Bombaci is a church planter and pastor. His introduction to planting churches happened when he was invited to help plant a church in Maui while in college. From 1979 until 1993 Steve specialized in youth ministries. He invested his youth ministry years in Lodi, Livermore and Fallbrook. In 1993 Steve pastored his first church in Ocean Beach before planting a church in Pacific Beach in 1997. Steve planted his second church in Ocean Beach in 2013. Steve graduated from Bethany College in 1979 and did his Masters work at Vanguard University. After 25 years of pastoring in Pacific Beach Steve is relaunching Pacific Life Church in Pacific Beach, San Diego, CA. Steve is the husband of Karen, father of four children and grandfather of six. He loves Jesus, his family, surfing, coffee, good Italian food, Pacific Beach, most sports, traveling, and barbecuing fish for family and friends.

Maki was born and grew up in Tokyo, Japan. She moved to the U.S. when she started her new journey with her husband Chris who has served in U.S. Navy since 2003. They have been stationed in Virginia, Hawaii, Japan and San Diego, and have 3 beautiful children, John, Michele and Ilah. Maki did not grow up in any religious belief but she was always interested in Christian life. She tried to go to some churches but she felt that she was an outsider for a long time. Then she met Pastor Steve and his church, and finally felt welcomed. She got baptized by Pastor Steve in 2016. She loves spending time with her family and their dog, and she loves cooking and crafts.
