Why did Jesus ask for a colt that had never been ridden? See Zechariah 9:9.
Up until this time Jesus did not allow anyone to proclaim his kingship. See John 6:15. Why does Jesus now allow the people to honor him as a king?
Hosana means save now. What did the majority of the people including the disciples hope Jesus would save them from? What did Jesus actually come to save them from?
The crowds were trying to impose upon Jesus their personal narrative of what the Messiah should do but Jesus was not on board with their narrative. Have you ever imposed your narrative on a situation? How did that turn out?

What did Jesus find when he entered the court of the Gentiles? Why was Jesus so angry?
Read Isaiah 56:7 & Jeremiah 7:11. In quoting the prophets what was Jesus saying to the people in the gentile court?
Pastor Steve asked the question that he said every church should ask themselves, “Is the way we do church honoring God and giving people an opportunity to worship and pray and draw near to God?” How might a church drift away from God’s purpose for the church?

Why were the chief priest and teachers of the law looking for a way to kill Jesus? What kind of a threat did he pose to them?
The temple had guards who could have arrested Jesus for overturning the tables and causing a scene. Why do you think they didn’t arrest him?
When Jesus comes into our life he turns a lot of things upside down just like he did in the temple. What did that look like in your life when you began a relationship with Jesus?
