PLC Financial Report (Mid-2025)

Hello Pacific Life Church family.

I am so thankful for all those who have supported Pacific Life Church financially and with your time and energy. We could not do all the things we do without you. From time to time, I think it’s important for everyone to see where things stand financially for our church. Last Sunday, I took a few minutes to talk about our basic expenses.

One of our major expenses is the school where we meet and our church offices. The lease for our offices ends at the end of August. We are excited to announce we have found another space that is much bigger than our current offices and $1,700 a month less. That’s definitely going to help our overall budget.

Here's some more important information.

We employ three staff members. As pastor, I am the only full-time employee. Maki is a part-time administrator, and Spencer is a part-time worship leader. Although we have a small staff, we have lots of volunteers — and that’s the secret sauce that makes our church work.

Unfortunately, we have been running a deficit since the beginning of the year. Despite the deficit, we continue to support five missionaries as well as all the local ministries we support. We will continue to keep our commitments globally and locally.

Our admin, Maki Hagan, has put together a financial report so that you can get a clear picture of our situation. Although we have reserves in the bank, we have been running a deficit each month since January. We are over $22,000 in the red as of this writing. I feel it’s important to make you aware of our situation so that you can respond as God leads. Please take a few minutes to look over our finance report and then pray over it and help if you can.

We have much to be optimistic about as we look towards the future. Brent, the construction supervisor, tells us most of the school construction will be finished by the end of the summer. We will get our auditorium back as well as our parking lot. After two and a half years of renovation, the school will look sparkling new.

Recently, we have seen a lot of new faces at our weekend services. Please be in prayer with us as we work to expand our influence in Pacific Beach and the greater San Diego area.
